Who Can Apply?

To qualify for this free support and for the Subclass 202 visa, you must:

Be a Syrian Alawite currently living in Lebanon

Have a first-degree relative (parent, sibling, or child) who is an Australian citizen or permanent resident and willing to act as your proposer

Be subject to discrimination or human rights abuses in Syria

Only applications with first-degree relationships are likely to succeed. Applications without this link are rarely granted due to limited places and strict priorities.

Understanding the Humanitarian Visa Process

  • Australia receives tens of thousands of applications each year

  • Only a small number are selected — and processing may take 3–5 years or longer

  • There are no government fees for this visa

  • Most families receive an acknowledgement letter 9–12 months after submission

  • We’re here to advocate for your case and help ensure everything is submitted correctly
